Clay Paky Lights Italian TV Shows

MILAN, Italy – Clay Paky lighting instruments have been used on two TV productions that aired recently on Italia 1: Chiambretti Night – Solo per numeri uno (Only for number ones), a late-night variety show conducted by Piero Chiambretti; and the 13th series of Le Iene (The Hyenas), a TV program conceived by Neri Parenti with minimalist scenery and visual references to Quentin Tarantino's film, Reservoir Dogs.

OSTEND, Belgium – XL-Technologies, a Belgium-based LED sales and solutions company, has been formed. It has been set up to offer LED technologies for a variety of shows, events, displays, art and installations and will also serve as worldwide distributor of the Pixled LED brand.  The new company will be led by Koen Bossuyt.

TOKYO and SINGAPORE – Robert Juliat opened two new branches recently, in Tokyo and Singapore. The company also named Masaaki Segawa president of Robert Juliat Japan and Jamie Boey branch manager in Singapore, which will also serve customers in China, Taiwan, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia and India.

Formula 1 Grand Prix Concerts Prepped with wysiwyg

ABU DHABI, U.A.E – At the 2009 Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Flash Entertainment produced a four-night series of concerts for race weekend ticket holders with headliners including Beyoncé, Jamiroquai, Kings of Leon and Aerosmith. Luke Bonner of Production Technology LLC used Cast Software's wysiwyg to model the lighting rig, which included more than 750 fixtures.
