CORNWALL, U.K. — Even outdoor venues need house lighting systems, and Northern Light’s Chris Watts and crew were challenged with the task of upgrading house lighting for the outdoor Minack Theatre near the southwest tip of England. The project included new cabling, fixtures and DMX distribution.

LIVERPOOL, U.K. — The need for speed may seem to be forever at odds with rigging and staging safety, but Echo Arena Liverpool is using a solution that keeps time and risk to a minimum. While one rigging grid system is installed over the usual stage area, a second grid can be deployed anywhere in the venue.

AMSTERDAM — The Heineken Brewery used BRC Imagination Arts for their revamped visitor area, and BRC worked with Electrosonic’s U.K.-based office on the AV systems integration. The visitor center includes simulation rides and interactive kiosks to provide information on Heineken’s history, the brewing process and more.

FRANKFURT, Germany — Robe showcased its Robin 3 Plasma Spot, the Robin 300E Spot and Wash fixtures and the REDMix 2-188 Outdoor LED wash light at Prolight + Sound with a stand designed by Robe UK’s Nathan Wan that used a combination of the company’s Digital and RED series products.

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO and KNOXFIELD, VIC, Australia — The Institute for Feedback Excellence, www.fbexcellence.org, is the name for a nonprofit organization formed by three manufacturers with a common goal: to  help ensure that lighting equipment using industry-wide feedback protocols performs as it should.
