Miller, owner of Sacramento, CA-based CTS, has more than 12 years of experience working in the AVL production and install industry.

MONTREAL — Solotech named David Lemmink director of engineering for its Rental division. Lemmink has more than 30 years of industry experience as both a design engineer and touring technician for artists including U2, Paul McCartney, Prince and Bon Jovi.

STUTTGART, Germany — Creative Technology (CT) announced changes for its operations in Germany, shifting some work to its bases in the Netherlands, U.K., Spain and beyond but retaining a presence in Stuttgart, Cologne and Berlin. The company also named Mike Dörfling business development director in Stuttgart. Christ Elsten was named managing director for the Netherlands and Germany. He will work alongside commercial director Albert Deltour.

TORONTO — APG Displays, a leading video wall integrator, launched APG Rentals, a new business unit dedicated to high-end video for the rental and staging industry.

CYPRESS, CA – Christie announced the formation of a new Content Management and Processing (CMP) led by newly named executive vice president Clark Williams. The new group encompasses the company’s content management and processing products, including Christie Spyder, Christie Phoenix, Christie Brio and Christie Pandoras Box. Williams will oversee CMP engineering and product management staff in Kitchener, Ontario; Phoenix, AZ and Cologne, Germany. He rejoins Christie after working as an industry consultant. Prior to that, he was president of Vista Controls Systems, which was acquired by Christie in 2007 and which Williams headed for several years at Christie. Also part of Williams’s team is Victor Vettorello, who has experience at both Christie and Vista Controls Systems.  He rejoins Christie as senior applications specialist for the upcoming Christie Spyder X80 debut.

LOUISVILLE, KY — ZFX, a leading provider of performer flying and automation systems, recently named Richard Nix director of engineering and standards. Nix will oversee engineering and standards conformance for ZFX products and further developing ZFX’s internal risk management programs, particularly within the company’s newly formed eZ-Hoist Division. He will also represent ZFX as its principle voting representative in ESTA’s Technical Standards Program.

ATLANTA — NanoLumens promoted Doug Price from director of systems engineering to vice president of systems engineering. He will oversee design and engineering of NanoLumens’ installed projects.

LOUISVILLE, KY – ZFX named Royal Marty director of its eZ-Hoist division. Marty, who previously worked at Creative Conners as Product Engineer and at JR Clancy’s Mechanical Engineering Department, will oversee business development, product design, technical support, and marketing for eZ-Hoist.
