PARIS – Robe officially launched its Paris-based subsidiary, Robe Lighting France, with a party attended by close to 150 members of the French production industry. The subsidiary is now open for business with a staff of seven.

FRANKFURT, Germany – Messe Frankfurt announced details for next year’s Musikmesse and Prolight+Sound exhibitions. The trade fair company also noted that senior staffer Kai Hattendorf (pictured here, right) was named managing director of UFI, the exhibition industry’s global association. Messe Frankfurt assigned Stephan Kurzawski (pictured left) to take over for Hattendorf, who leaves this fall.

AUSTIN, TX – SHS Global announced that it has forged an exclusive distribution agreement with LED video display company SBC. SHS Global will distribute SBC’s products in the U.S., Australia and New Zealand. Team members from both companies were in Orlando to showcase technological innovations including a video wall that cuts back on the need for cables between panels.

During Prolight+Sound Visual Productions and ESL France confirmed the new French distribution agreement.  ESL will distribute the full range of Visual Productions lighting control products to all areas of the Entertainment and Architectural markets.
