FORT WAYNE, IN – Apollo Design Technology hired Michael Kretschmer as the company’s mechanical engineer. He will be involved at all stages of a product, from research and development to design and manufacture through to product release. The company also promoted Rita LeFavour to customer relations specialist. LeFavour has been with the company for more than 15 years.

SERIATE, Bergamo, Italy — Clay Paky named Alberico D’Amato head of international sales, a new position. D’Amato, who has worked as a Clay Paky area manager since 1997, is responsible for coordinating all internal area sales managers and external regional sales representatives in their dealings with distributors and customers. PORT ORANGE, FL — TAF USA named Trevor Perrott sales manager at the company’s facilities here. Perrott, who brings an engineering background to the position, will overlook the sales transactions and maintain relationships with TAF’s customers in North and South America.

LITITZ, PA – Following the launch of ESA Canada, the Event Safety Alliance is continuing its international expansion, naming veteran crowd management & event safety consultant Jon “J.C.” Corbishley chair of the ESA’s new Australian affiliate. Corbishley will oversee the operations of ESA Australia and serve as the organization’s primary delegate within the region.

SAN FRANCISCO – Auerbach + Associates announced changes in its leadership. Steven Friedlander (pictured left) was named president; Patricia Glasow (right) will become executive vice president. Founder and president S. Leonard Auerbach (center), who announced the new appointments, also noted that, as his administrative duties have been reduced, he will focus more on design as director of design. He also continues as chairman of the board. 

LENGWIL-OBERHOFEN, Switzerland — Laserworld Group, based here, recently named Sabrina Mitchell and Benjamin Weizenegger marketing assistants. As such, they will play key roles developing the company’s websites. Norbert Stangl, sales and marketing director, credited Mitchell for her knowledge and experience in design and media technology and Weizenegger for his knowledge in “content management, Internet journalism and web 2.0.”

LOS ANGELES — ARRI Inc. named Chris Russo Technical Sales Manager Camera Products, Western Region for the Americas. In her new role, Russo will be responsible for sales of ARRI camera products including ALEXA, AMIRA and Pro Camera accessories. She will also evaluate market and technology requirements for existing and potential ARRI camera equipment in the North American Market.

AMSTERDAM — XL Video named Bertil van Veen manager of the company’s operations in Amsterdam, Utrecht and Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He returns to XL Video, where he previously worked from 2008-2009, after working at ACS from 2010-2014. He will be based at the company’s new office here.

CYPRESS, CA — FOR-A America promoted its northeast sales manager, Jay Shinn. He has been named vice president of the company. Shinn first joined FOR-A in August 2012 to head FOR-A’s sales activity in the Northeastern U.S., including states from Maine to Virginia. An industry veteran with extensive experience in the broadcast technology industry, Shinn begins taking on responsibilities in his new role immediately.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Clearwing Productions recently completed an expansion of their Milwaukee retail space and warehouse here.  The additional space brings the total size of their Milwaukee headquarters to 43,120 square feet and includes a remodel of their retail and service shops. The expanded warehouse now has additional dock spaces (including an indoor dock), additional show prep space, upgraded shipping/receiving areas and a new service department.
