VALENCIA, Spain — MGC Lighting, an international lighting distributor, named Rosa Comba Lopez International Sales Administrator. She is based at the company’s offices here.

KNOXVILLE, TN – Bandit Lites named Andrew Fisher senior systems integrator. Prior to Bandit Lites, Fisher served as national sales manager for The Light Source, focusing on their LED product line. At Bandit, Fisher will be assisting with system specification sales, system integrations, and providing client solutions alongside Chris Barbee, Bandit’s global director of sales.

Apollo Design Technology, Inc. announces the appointment of Ben Powers as an Industrial Designer. In this role, Powers will help develop new and innovative products from concept to product release. He will also make enhancements to existing products and specifications.

Prior to joining Apollo Design Technology, Powers was self-employed as a product, graphic, and web designer. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in industrial design from Purdue University. “Ben will be key in helping Apollo Design build a broad array of products for our industry. Ben brings a fresh perspective and will ensure our products are innovative in both form and function.” said Mr. Joel Nichols, president of Apollo Design Technology.

SAN FRANCISCO – Horton Lees Brogden (HLB) Lighting Design announced promotions for Carrie Hawley (pictured here, center), Tina Aghassian (left) and Lee E. Brandt (right). Hawley was promoted to senior principal. Aghassian and Brandt were named principals.

PARIS – Analog Way named Philippe Vitali director of integration and application software.  Vitali will be based at the companies headquarters near Paris. Vitali joined the company a few months ago to form and manage a new R&D team. He has an extensive background in software development and team management.

ROZNOV POD RADHOSTEM, Czech Republic — Robe Lighting s.r.o., based here, has acquired the complete range of LiteWare portable battery LED products from Bristol, U.K.-based Global Design Solutions (GDS). Sales, marketing, manufacture and support for the range of fixtures has been transferred to Robe, and the product line is available through both the company’s subsidiary offices and global distributor network.

CYPRESS, CA. — Christie announced Feb. 20 that Kenji Hamashima, chairman, president and CEO of the Christie group of companies, will step down from his current role starting in April but will remain as chairman, president and CEO of the Christie holding company, Christie Digital Systems Inc., as well as Ushio America Inc. Jack Kline, president and COO, Christie Digital Systems USA, Inc. (pictured here) will assume the role of chairman, president and CEO of all of Christie’s operating companies worldwide.
