FARMINGDALE, NY — Avolites, the London-based lighting console manufacturer, named Group One Ltd. as its exclusive distributor in U.S.  In a related move, Group One, based here, named Brad White national sales manager for the brand. White, who had previously spent 12 years as director of technical services at Avolites America, most recently served as COO at TERI Productions, Knoxville, TN. White has also worked at PixelRange and as an LD and programmer. Prior to the early June announcement, Avolites’ U.S. distributor was Creative Stage Lighting (CSL), North Creek, NY.

BRIGHTON, MI — TLS Productions Inc., based here, has announced a plan to move to Ann Arbor, MI later this year under its new ownership. The company is now led by former minority shareholders Brad Hayes and Bill Ross. Late last year, Hayes and Ross purchased the share that Dan Willoughby, TLS Productions’ former president and CEO, had held in the company.

LOS ANGELES – Truss manufacturer Global Truss America has named Kenneth Kahn president of the company, which sells products in North America under the DuraTruss and Global Truss brands. Kahn has been with the company since its inception in 2000 and has played a key role in building it into a major supplier of trussing and accessories.

OMAHA, NE – Richard Lund has joined the Strong team as Western regional sales manager. With more than 25 years of experience in the entertainment and LED lighting industry, Lund most recently served as Western regional sales manager for Philips Entertainment. Prior to this, Lund worked for Color Kinetics as regional manager. He serves on the board of managers for the Illuminating Engineering Society.
