ORLANDO – Alcorn McBride, a manufacturer of AV system control, A/V and lighting equipment for themed entertainment, is preparing for growth in international markets. In the past year, Alcorn McBride has restructured distribution in Asia, and built up its Paris office. Alcorn McBride is in talks with several companies to distribute products in the remaining European markets and is now interviewing new companies at the ISE show in Amsterdam.

DAVIE, FL — PTT of Florida, a supplier of temporary live event labor for large arena shows and events, has moved three doors down from its current location at 10388 West SR 84 to Suite 106 at the 595 Corporate Park of Commerce. Theatre Tech Expert Harvey Sweet Retires From ETC

MIDDLETON, WI – Theater-technology expert Harvey Sweet has retired from ETC (Electronic Theatre Controls, Inc.), after four years as ETC Rigging’s senior product manager. His career spanned 59 years in the theatrical production and equipment manufacturing industry. Sweet was a fundamental part of ESTA’s E1.6 – 1 Rigging Task Group, recognized for developing the motorized-rigging standard, and served on many industry committees. Dr. Sweet is also the published author of three theater-technology textbooks and taught theater technology, scenic design and theater aesthetics for more than 30 years at several universities.
