KNOXVILLE, TN – Australian-based lighting systems control manufacturer LSC Lighting Systems (Aust) Pty Ltd, is opening a fully staffed office in the US. Industry veteran Rob Steel will head up the new office, based in Knoxville, TN. The new office will offer products and service, along with technical support and operator training.

LAS VEGAS – Cory Walker has recently joined Christie Lites as a National Account Rep in the Las Vegas office. Walker was previously Account Executive at Morpheus Lights in Las Vegas for the past six years. He started his career in the late 1980s as a stagehand in Chicago, and soon his varied production skills led him to positions with Jack Morton, Upstaging and VLPS. He moved to Las Vegas in 2001 as an LD/programmer for Sam’s Town Live, and started taking electrician calls from Morpheus, which led to his stint there.

FAIRFIELD, NJ — Middle Atlantic Products has named Adam Gold midwest regional sales manager; his territory includes Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Nebraska and Missouri for all market segments. Middle Atlantic also named David Bromberg regional sales manager for the Western region. Bromberg’s territory includes Southern California and Southern Nevada for all market segments and Arizona for residential, security and DataComm channels.

NASHVILLE – LMG, a national provider of video, audio, and lighting support, has opened a new office in Nashville. The location houses over 24,000 square feet of office and warehouse space, and will become a new base of operations to support corporate events and tours. Steve Austin has been hired as an accounts manager in Nashville to manage the new facility.

LOS ANGELES – Alexandre Monast joins A.C.T Lighting Canada as technical sales representative in Quebec.  Monast has worked with Cirque du Soleil for the last decade, moving up as lighting director, programmer and assistant lighting designer. Earlier in his career he freelanced as chief electrician and project manager for the corporate, theatre and concert markets.

LONDON – A.C. Entertainment Technologies (AC-ET) Ltd. were announced at PLASA 2012 as the exclusive UK distributor for Italian manufacturer Griven’s LED lighting. AC-ET’s UK Sales Director Jonathan Walters and ACSP’s Operations Manager William Yeo met with Griven’s Director of Sales & Marketing Danilo Bettinazzi at the London show to seal the deal.

MITCHAM, UK and AUSTIN, TX – Le Maitre Pyrotechnics and Special Effects named Rob Brenner global CEO and president of Le Maitre USA LLC. He is based in the U.S. but will oversee both the U.S. and U.K. companies. Brenner, a touring industry executive for more than 25 years, has produced tours for the Jonas Brothers, Justin Timberlake, Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears, among others.

PARIS – Robert Juliat has appointed Venuetech as its new distributor for the Middle East region. Venuetech will be responsible for the full product range and after-sale service across the region. The company will show Robert Juliat products for the first time at the InfoComm show in Dubai Oct. 14-18.

MONTREAL – MDG has appointed the ULA Group as its new exclusive distributor for its fog and haze generators in Australia. “We chose ULA Group as our distributors because their degree of dedication to our industry matches MDG’s own,” says Martin Michaud, President & CEO of MDG. ULA Group will also provide full customer service and support to the current and future MDG users.

GOTHENBURG, Sweden – SGM A/S has recruited Mikael Uddh to handle the Danish manufacturer’s portfolio of LED products exclusively under the newly-formed SGM Sweden. Based in Gothenburg, Uddh is positioned to service all the main Swedish commercial centers — which include Stockholm and Malmö — on a face-to-face basis.
