PARIS – Robert Juliat has appointed Venuetech as its new distributor for the Middle East region. Venuetech will be responsible for the full product range and after-sale service across the region. The company will show Robert Juliat products for the first time at the InfoComm show in Dubai Oct. 14-18.

MONTREAL – MDG has appointed the ULA Group as its new exclusive distributor for its fog and haze generators in Australia. “We chose ULA Group as our distributors because their degree of dedication to our industry matches MDG’s own,” says Martin Michaud, President & CEO of MDG. ULA Group will also provide full customer service and support to the current and future MDG users.

GOTHENBURG, Sweden – SGM A/S has recruited Mikael Uddh to handle the Danish manufacturer’s portfolio of LED products exclusively under the newly-formed SGM Sweden. Based in Gothenburg, Uddh is positioned to service all the main Swedish commercial centers — which include Stockholm and Malmö — on a face-to-face basis.

HOUSTON – SGM A/S named Randy Wade head of its U.S. operation. Wade, a lighting veteran in the entertainment field since the mid-1980s, will be in charge of sales and support for the entire line of SGM products. He is based in Houston, TX.

CLARKSTON, MI – Kirk Marchwinski has joined High Resolution Systems as a sales representative.  He will handle all outbound calls for High Resolution Control, which offers integrated Pro AV control hardware and software systems with its Universal Device Controller (UDC).  Prior to High Resolution Systems, Marchwinski served as associate district manager at Automatic Data Processing (ADP) in Dearborn, MI.

FRESNOY-EN-THELLE, France – Robert Juliat named Claus Spreyer as its new sales director. Spreyer most recently spent two years at German Sky Tracers manufacturer A&O as executive VP. Prior to that, he was responsible for partner relations at Lightpower/MA Lighting in Germany.

LONDON – Electrosonic has promoted Sarah Joyce to Vice President for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). She was previously employed as General Manager Human Resources, EMEA. Her promotion follows Ilari Anttila’s decision to return to his homeland in Finland. Joyce has 16 years of experience within the AV industry together with her five years at Electrosonic Ltd in sales, HR and account management. Anttila will stay with the company until the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition.

MUMBAI, India – Diversified Communications India named Ramesh Chetwani, a 10-year veteran in marketing, sponsorships and event management to the post of Exhibitions Director, PALM Expo, India. The 13th expo and conference is slated for May 30, 31 and June 1, 2013 at the Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) near Mumbai, India.
