THE NETHERLANDS– XLNT Advanced Technologies and Lift Turn Move (LTM) have announced an agreement for LTM to become the UK and Ireland sales and distribution dealer for CyberMotion, a dedicated mobile stage automation system, and the DS8 Solid State motor controllers for standard chain hoists. The deal was announced Jan. 16 at the CUE trade show in Rotterdam.

WASHINGTON, DC – Elizabeth Makkai joins the Showcall Team in its Washington, DC Office. Makkai will focus her activities on generating new business in Showcall’s corporate, association and sporting sectors.  Additionally, she will round out Showcall’s operational and major project management efforts. Showcall Inc. provides turnkey production services on an international basis for events such as Papal Visits, Summits, White House Conferences, Fortune 100 companies, associations, and national entertainment.

ERLANGER, KY – Chris Wallace is the new Western Regional Sales Manager at TV One, a designer and manufacturer of video and multimedia processing equipment. Wallace brings with him an extensive sales background with 13 years of experience in the AV Industry. He will be based in Northern California to oversee Western Canada along with California, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Alaska and Hawaii.

BRISTOL, UK – Alexa Brierley is the new Sales Account Coordinator at GDS, a UK manufacturer of lighting and control systems, with headquarters in Bristol. She will help the international sales team with customer service and dealer support.

LONDON – Lester Cobrin joins XL Video UK as Senior Project Manager. Cobrin has 20 years of experience in the lighting and live production industry, most recently at Bandit Lites.

FAIRFAX, VA – Randal (Randy) A. Lemke, Ph.D., executive director and CEO of InfoComm International since 2000, announced his planned retirement at the end of 2012, capping off 16 years of service to the commercial AV association.  “It has been an honor to serve the needs of such an exciting and innovative industry these past years,” Dr. Lemke stated, “and it’s with mixed feelings that I leave the wonderful team of professionals and close friends I have made here at InfoComm.”

LITIZ, PA – Industry veteran Bob Looney joins Atomic Lighting as project manager. Looney brings 25 years of lighting experience with him, gathered from the road and from management.

HALETHORPE, MD — 4Wall Entertainment has promoted Scott Church to general manager of its Washington DC location. Church, who has spent more than two decades in the lighting industry, joined 4Wall DC shortly after it opened two years ago, working in outside sales.  Since then, Church also worked to expand the company’s UsedLighting.com division in the Mid-Atlantic and South.

MIDLAND, TX — Tomcat, a brand of The Vitec Group, named Mike Garl president and general manager. Garl, who joins Tomcat from James Thomas Engineering, where he was previously the president and managing partner, will be responsible for all the day-to-day activities at Tomcat.
