Digital Media Specialist Chris MacKarell has joined rental equipment group ARRI CSC as Digital Workflow Supervisor. MacKarell will create and support effective On-Set Digital Workflow products and services for the ARRI CSC digital imaging departments in New Jersey and Florida, and Illumination Dynamics, in Charlotte, NC.

AARHUS, Denmark – Ritchie Reed joins Martin Professional’s EMEA sales organization as account manager for theatre sales in the UK market. Reed has extensive experience in the UK theatre lighting market, most recently from Selecon Lighting/Philips Entertainment.

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL — Creative Technology Chicago has moved to a new 62,500 sq. ft facility near O’Hare International Airport. The new facility has double the warehouse space of the previous building and includes a dedicated equipment demo area for client demonstrations and programming. The offices are larger and have been designed with an open floor plan to accommodate CT’s current staff and enable expansion for future growth.

MOSCOW — Riedel Communications opened a branch office in Moscow recently. The new location, the 10th location for the company, was opened in response to demand for the company’s products in Eastern Europe, including Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. The company also maintains offices in the U.S., Asia U.K., Europe and Australia.

LOS ANGELES – Bob Ferra has joined A.C.T Lighting as Product Specialist for the company’s cable business. Previously, Ferra worked in business development for AV products at a leading cable manufacturer, where he introduced their line of AV cable assemblies and designed numerous products for OEM customers.

Equipment rental group ARRI CSC announces two new members to its US rental offices. Darrell Brock joins the Florida office as lighting and grip rental supervisor, while Ruben Rodriguez joins the New Jersey location as camera rental agent.

CASTEL GOFFREDO, Italy – Coemar S.p.A. announced a new majority shareholder: Salvatore Grillo, 37, who was also named Sole Administrator of the company. Mezzanine Management UK Ltd (now MML Capital Partners), the private equity fund that acquired Coemar 10 years ago, remains as a minority shareholder. Grillo promised a new era for the company as it returns to Italian ownership. “Coemar really wants to be young at the age of 80!” Grillo said.
