WASHINGTON, U.K. — Penn Elcom, a manufacturer of flightcase and a speaker solutions specialist, has acquired CLD Distribution, whose business focuses on cables, connectors, lamps and LED lightsources. Although CLD has been integrated within Penn Elcom, CLD will continue with its own operation, identity and trading contacts, but under the Penn-Elcom umbrella.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Hughie’s Audio-Visual Productions, which has offices in Cleveland, OH; Columbus, OH and Pittsburgh, PA; named Brian Kemp as general manager for the Pittsburgh office. Kemp will oversee all day-to-day operations for that office and report to Hughie’s president David Wheeler.

CHANDLER, AZ — AV Dimensions named Glenn Ray vice president of operations and hired Fran Sutherland as account manager. Ray brings more than 25 years of experience to AV Dimensions, having worked for GES, Exhibitgroup/Giltspur, Mice NA, MC2, Hoffman Productions, Nike and Samsung and other firms.

SANFORD, FL — InterAmerica Stage named Teri House sales coordinator. House recently relocated to Florida from Cincinnati, OH, where she worked for Steven Schaefer Associates Structural Engineers and SSA’s Entertainment Structures Group Division, ESG.

AUSTIN, TX – SHS Global has been named the U.S. representative of Theatrixx, a Montreal-based manufacturer of power distribution systems. Theatrixx also distributes various LED products in the Americas: Visualed touring LED screens, X-Vision installation LED screens, and Theatrixx’s own brand of X-Vision LED fixtures. The agreement means that SHS Global will serve as the U.S. distributor for those products, while Theatrixx continues to distribute those brands in Canada, Mexico and South America.

LONDON — Live communications and production company DesignScene named Matthew Rickard senior production manager. Working with DesignScene’s founder, creative director and show producer Attila Keskin, Rickard will lead the production department.

SAN FRANCISCO – Auerbach Pollock Friedlander named Patrick Markle chief administrative officer. He will oversee the theatre, media facilities and lighting consulting firm’s administrative operations and participate in strategic planning, marketing and public relations.
