Firefly Festival Weekend Glows with Bandit Lites

DOVER, DE –The Firefly Music Festival ran from June 15-18, with headliners including The Weeknd, Muse, Twenty One Pilots, Chance the Rapper, O.A.R, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Bob Dylan, Flume, Weezer and The Shins. Bandit provided lighting for the Firefly main stage, Lawn and Backyard stages.

tvONE’s Latest VOIP Solutions for CORIOmaster Now Available

tvONE noted that its Video Over IP solution for CORIOmaster video processing systems is now available. ADJ Road Tour Announces New Summer Dates

LOS ANGELES – ADJ Lighting have announced two summertime Road Tour dates to demonstrate their latest lighting and audio technologies that will be available third quarter of 2017. The companies will highlight the latest lighting technologies that debuted at InfoComm 2017 in Orlando, Florida earlier this June. The first tour stop will be on Wednesday, July 12th at SoundCheck Nashville, 750 Cowan Street, Nashville, TN 37207. The second stop will be on Thursday, July 27th at ADJ Lighting’s global headquarters in Los Angeles located at 6122. S. Eastern Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90040.

2017 Bridge School Benefit Concert Canceled

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – After Neil Young and friends launched inaugural Bridge School Benefit Concert in Oct. 1986, the concert, which raises funds for a school for special-needs students, had a 30-year run, raising millions with top acts pitching in to support the cause. A 2017 concert, however, will not take place. Concert founders Neil and Pegi Young, who divorced in 2014, cited personal reasons for the cancellation.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra Planning 2017 Fall/Winter Tour

NEW YORK – Trans-Siberian Orchestra announced in late June that it is planning a tour this fall despite the death of TSO producer, composer and lyricist Paul O’Neill on April 5. The theme for the 2017 tours will mirror those for the band’s successful tours in 2015 and 2016, “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve.”

LONDON – LD Steven Bewley chose Claypaky’s Mythos2 luminaire for British Grime artist Stormzy’s recent U.K. tour. Bewley, who has worked with rap artists such as Dizzee Rascal and Tinie Tempah, was head-hunted by Stormzy after the rapper saw the designer’s work for fellow artist Wretch 32.

Green Hippo and Okulus 3D Visuals Illuminate Shawn Mendes World Tour

LONDON – For Shawn Mendes’ “Illuminate” tour leg through Europe from late April to early June, production design firm Okulus worked with creative director Paul Caslin and 24/7 Productions on a visual design that included the use of Hippotizer Boreals and Taigas to feed imagery to a 1920 x 640 curved, 9mm LED wall. The visuals were triggered via timecode, and the team also integrated the video director’s live camera feeds into the content. The tour resumes for a series of North American dates from July 6 (Portland, OR) to Aug. 23 (Boston).
