ORLANDO, FL – grandMA2 consoles and switches played a key role in networked lighting and video control for SAP’s Sapphire NOW/ASUG Annual Conference at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.  Lighting Designer Paul Palazzo and Programmer Paul J. Sonnleitner have worked on the event since 1999 and have been using MA consoles for the last 12 years.  A.C.T Lighting is the exclusive distributor of MA Lighting products in North America.

BALTIMORE, MD – For seven days in April, the night sky over the city that gave birth to “The Star-Spangled Banner” glowed in a rainbow of colors, as Baltimore celebrated its Light City Festival. Over 400,000 visitors crowded the city’s downtown streets to enjoy hundreds of illuminated sculptures, building projections and interactive exhibits. At the heart of it all was the “Light Up The Night,” stage, where artists from a variety of musical genres including hip-hop, rock, jazz and world dance performed each evening.

ORLANDO – InfoComm International will honor Jim Bowie, the retiring President and CEO of Electrosonic, with the Mackey Barron Distinguished Achievement Award at InfoComm 2017. Bowie will receive the award in a ceremony at InfoComm 2017’s Center Stage at the Orange County Convention Center on June 14 at 2 p.m.

GULF SHORES, AL – At the Hangout Music Festival, the annual three-day music festival staged on the public beaches of Gulf Shores, AL, Bandit Lites provided lighting for the Mainstage, Surf Stage and Fitz Stage. This year’s event, held May 19-21, drew crowds with Mumford & Sons, Chance the Rapper, Phoenix, Major Lazer, Weezer, MGMT, Sigur Ros, Band of Horses, Franz Ferdinand and Charli XCX. Bandit Lites worked closely with Hadden Hippsley of Lambda Productions on the event.

GREENSBORO, NC – In 2008, the owners of Proximity Hotel and Print Works Bistro in Greensboro noted a first for the U.S. hospitality industry – a LEED Platinum rating by the U.S. Green Building Council. When the hotel wanted to add color changing fixtures to its Weaver Room, management opted for an energy-efficient design by Audio & Light that incorporates Iluminarc fixtures. QW Services, also from Greensboro, handled the installation.
