Martin by HARMAN Brings a Modern Look to the Return of Love Connection on Fox Television

LOS ANGELES—Lighting Director Matt Firestone recently installed 30 Martin VDO Sceptron LED video fixtures on the set of Love Connection, the classic 1980s-era game show which will return to television in May 2017. Airing on Fox and hosted by Andy Cohen, the reboot will feature the same familiar game format, with a completely modernized set design. Firestone used the VDO Sceptrons to create a dynamic background during specific shots when both the contestant and the host are on screen.

Green Hippo Captures the Snow Fairy

A Little Night Music for Robe at RADA

LONDON – Award winning lighting designer Paul Pyant returned to London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) to light a production of the Steven Sondheim classic, A Little Night Music directed by Edward Kemp and staged at RADA’s Jerwood Vanbrugh Theatre in central London. Robe enjoy a close ongoing working relationship with RADA, making their latest technologies available for students to use across the three main venues. Paul’s design for this production utilized Robe’s DL7S LED profiles and the new Spiider LED wash beam moving lights, together with other moving and conventional fixtures.

Soundgarden 2017 Tour Cut Short by Death of Chris Cornell

COLUMBUS, OH – Soundgarden, which had performed 12 of the 18 shows slated on the band’s 2017 reunion tour, canceled the last six shows after the death of frontman Chris Cornell around midnight after the band’s May 17 show in Detroit. The death of Cornell, 52, the Seattle grunge rock icon who also garnered acclaim as frontman for Audioslave, Temple of the Dog and his own solo shows, had been classified as a suicide by a medical examiner.
