Roland Updates V-800HD Multi-Format Video Switcher

Roland’s “Mark II” version of its V-800HD Multi-Format Video Switcher has been updated based on feedback from end users and system designers. The V-800HD MK II includes new dedicated switches for AUX source selection, promising enhanced visibility and operability. The interface has also been tweaked. An advanced keyer lets users adjust phase range, amount of chroma and other parameters based on the HSV color space that is closely related to human chromatic sensation, promising high quality and tight key compositions, especially when using 1080p video sources.

HSL Supports John Mayer’s ‘The Search for Everything’ Tour

BLACKBURN, U.K. – Whatever HSL, the UK based lighting rental specialist couldn’t source from their extensive stock, they purchased for John Mayer’s “The Search for Everything” tour. This including brand new VL4000 Beam Washes, which were on lighting designer Nathan Alves’ plot, together with Robe BMFLs and Claypaky Sharpy Washes. HSL project manager Jordan Hanson co-ordinated everything from their end and three of Nate’s regular crew, chief Chris Coyle, Benji Meserole and Holly Lloyd, went to HSL ahead of the tour and prepped the lighting rig, which was supplied as a complete dry hire package for the European and UK legs of the tour.

INDIANAPOLIS – Long before the cry “Drivers Start Your Engines” marked the start of the 101st Indianapolis 500 at 12:14 pm on Sunday May 28, over 30,000 EDM fans at the iconic speedway were already racing through some slick bangers at “The Snake Pit Presented By Coors Light.” Held on the track’s infield at Turn 3, this one-day festival within an auto race kicked off at 7 am and kept going until the checkered flag was waved track side. Accenting the performances from the likes of Zedd, Marshmello, and Adventure Club at this year’s event was a Collyns Stenzel designed light and video show that relied on CHAUVET Professional COLORado fixtures to help it stand out against the Indiana sun.
