Philips Lighting Gears Up for PL+S 2017 in Frankfurt; Rock Band to Perform

FRANKFURT, Germany – Philips Lighting is gearing up for Europe’s biggest entertainment technology expo, Prolight + Sound, where it will launch new stage and studio lighting products as well as showcase recent releases. The company’s new products also will be incorporated into the lighting design for the stand, which will transform into a stage for a performance from Dutch rock band TOM on Tuesday April 4 between 6pm and 10pm.

Christie Lites Coventry Announces U.K. Team

COVENTRY, U.K. – Christie Lites Coventry has put its UK team in place at its newest – and first overseas – location for the North American stage lighting and rigging rental company. The warehouse doors open earlier than previously announced to accommodate its first UK/European tour with longtime client KISS. Limited business begins April 1, with full operations expected to be running by May 1. Temporarily serving as setup team are Dan Souwand, Vice President of Operations, and Mark Wolverton, Operations Manager of the CL New York office. Both are on location to ensure the shop and staff are compliant with Christie Lites standards.

Robe Announces Plans for Prolight+Sound 2017

FRANKFURT, Germany – Czech lighting manufacturer Robe announced plans for an array of new fixtures, including their Spiider fixtures, pictured here, at booth D80 in Hall 3 of the Frankfurt Messe for Prolight +Sound 2017. The company will also invite hundreds of guests to enjoy a live entertainment show with a unique stand design featuring a lightshow every hour and a ‘Voice of God’ product presentation at other times. Robe will also be making what it calls a “major announcement related to one of its key European markets” at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5.
