U.K.’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ Show Networking Setup Includes ProPlex IQ

LONDON — To meet the production demands of ‘Strictly Come Dancing,’ the crew has been using a network of data control that connects two consoles and a media server to the lighting and video elements on the set. The setup also includes ProPlex’s IQ Two 1616 (pictured here), according to Mark Newell, the show’s lighting gaffer and chief systems tech, helping the crew to execute a lighting design by Mark Kenyon.

Avolites to Feature Ai v10, Titan v10.1 at PL+S 2017

LOS ANGELES – The 2017 edition of the iHeartRadio Music Awards, staged March 5 at the Forum in Inglewood, CA, celebrated the most popular artists and music of the past year, with the results tallied according to listeners of iHeartMedia radio stations nationwide and the iHeartRadio digital music platform.  Jon Kusner, LD for 22 Degrees, used more than 500 Claypaky fixtures, grandMA2 full-size consoles and MDG theONE foggers/hazers for the recent show.

ZAKOPANE, Poland – Standing out against a giant fireworks display isn’t easy, but Adam Tyszka and Polish team from Aram and TVP accomplished this feat in stunning fashion recently with help from a collection of Chauvet Professional STRIKE 1 Fixtures supplies by LTT.  Tasked with lighting a massive televised celebration and concert in central Zakopane – close to Kraków, the designer and his team drew upon the powerful output of the warm white LED fixtures to accent the center of a large stage that hosted musical performances set against a dazzling pyrotechnics display.

Bandit Lights Up Youth Evangelism Conference of Tennessee

NASHVILLE – The Nashville Municipal Auditorium was aglow March 10 and 11th with more than 8,000 high school and middle school students offering worship and fellowshipping at the Youth Evangelism Conference. Bandit Lites provided the lighting package for the event for Orchestrate Experience with Lighting Designer Trey Meares and Orchestrate Production Director Alex Fleming. Featured guests included Dave Edwards, The Skit Guys, Luke MacDonald and the YEC Worship Band.
