LAS VEGAS – The 17th Annual Latin Grammy Awards show, broadcast live on Univision from T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas Nov. 17, celebrated winners across a broad spectrum of Latin music.  It also presented an abundance of performances on a colorful, media-rich, stage set, supported by five 4x4pro media servers from d3 Technologies. Set designer Jorge Dominguez and creative director of content Bianca Moncada from Darmah Studio teamed with media server programmer/content specification coordinator Laura Frank of Luminous FX to bring the stage looks to life.

LOS ANGELES – The Chainsmokers headlined the second EDM show ever at the Los Angeles Convention Center late last month. The duo surprised the crowd by bringing out the Backstreet Boys for a special performance. This was The Chainsmokers biggest solo show to date, lit by 4Wall Orange County. 4Wall OC was tasked with turning the electronic duo’s creative vision into a reality in a venue that does not have a lot of rigging capabilities.

Tritonal Show in Washington DC Gets Extra Punch with Chauvet Professional Fixtures

WASHINGTON, DC – Tritonal, a duo that includes Austin, TX-based producer/DJs Chad Cisneros and David Reed, has been touring in support of their 2016 album release, Painting With Dreams. Tritonal’s lighting designer, Aaron Kovelman of The Hauss Collective turned to Brett Angstadt of Round Peg Productions for a visual assist with a show last fall at Echostage in Washington, DC. Angstadt made use of Chauvet Professional’s Nexus panels to complement the stage looks at the event, which also included tungsten looks from Chauvet’s Strike 4 LED fixtures.

LONDON – S+H Technical Support supplied a large quantity of its LED Starcloth to be used as a complete wrap around the stage and audience seating for a one-off Christmas Special of the popular 1980’s comedy games show ‘Blankety Blank’ … which was hosted by David Walliams and broadcast by ITV on Christmas Eve. The show was recorded in Studio 1 of London Studios in Waterloo, central London in front of a live audience of 400, with a set design by Joshua Grace who specified the starcloth.
