OAKLAND, CA – Airstar’s high tech lighting balloons played a major role for Urban Shield, a yearly gathering for the main U.S. task forces and rescue teams, as well as overseas delegations. The French RAID was the first to be invited in 2009. This year, Mexico and Taiwan participated in the event. The competition took place from Sept. 9-12 in Alameda County, East of the San Francisco Bay.

SOUTH BEND, INDIANA – James Thomas Engineering played a crucial role in bringing to life a one-of-a-kind interactive lighting display in South Bend, Indiana to celebrate its 150th birthday and add another layer of revitalization to the city. Designed by internationally renowned lighting designer Rob Shakespeare, it claims to be the world’s first interactive display of light over a body of water.
