ST PETERSBURG, FL –  – BridgePoint Church in St. Petersburg, Florida has set the goal of reaching the entire St. Petersburg peninsula by planting ten campuses over ten years. To achieve this, BridgePoint needs to be relevant to the community and fully enable their volunteers. Jands Vista lighting control systems and Chroma-Q Inspire house lighting, recommended and installed by Pendley Productions (based in Cumming, GA) – and supplied by A.C. Lighting Inc. – are playing a role in achieving this goal.

NEW YORK — On Tuesday, October 11, the Secretary of ANSI’s Board of Standards Review issued notices that three more ESTA standards had been approved as American National Standards. They are now published and available on the ESTA website.

PALM DESERT, CA — Charlie Hernandez, head of the charity group, Just a Bunch of Roadies (justabunchofroadies.org) rallied the troops in Southern California for a day of volunteer work in support of Pegasus Therapeutic Riding, a Palm Desert. CA-based ranch that offers free rides to create memorable experiences for disabled and special needs children and adults.

LAS VEGAS — Altman Lighting announced plans to feature new products at LDI 2016, including the PHX LED ellipsoidal family (pictured here) and their the Gallery series, Pegasus, and the Chalice LED series of luminaires. The new gear will be featured at LDI Booth 1359 during the show, which will take place in the Las Vegas Convention Center from Oct. 21-23.

CHICAGO — Buddy Sokolick, longtime head of the production department for Jam Productions in Chicago, where he supported artists including Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi and Amy Grant, among others, died Oct. 13 after a long illness. He was 60. Sokolick began his career as a stagehand at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago and quickly rose through the ranks to become a production manager for Jam Productions. In 1987, he became head of the production department at Jam, where he stayed for most of his career.
