Read More »BINGHAMTON, NY – Nine Christie Roadster HD20K-J 3DLP projectors showcased local artists and their creations – including the area’s own Johnny Hart, creator of the BC comic strip – onto five historic buildings at the annual LUMA Projection Arts Festival earlier this month. The brainchild of Tice Lerner, Nick Rubenstein and Joshua Bernard Ludzki, the event, now in its second year, featured animation by noted motion design firm Favorite Color, and included work from other animators including the winner of a juried competition. New City Video & Staging handled the installation.

The company event featured performances by Linda Perry, Smallpools, Echosmith, Mike Garson, Saint Motel, DJ Pierre and others. Preston used Chauvet’s Rogue R1 FX-Bs, Rogue RH1 Hybrids, Rogue R2 Washes, Rogue R1 Washes and Next NXT-1 moving LED panels for the gig. Preston was part of a team that included Three-Phase Production President Darren Rezowalli, assistant lighting director Will Chandler, rigger Daniel Zawolkow, and show ME Matt Johns as well as electricians Garrett Kelly, Jack Herndon, Jensen Chambers, Alex Ashley and Juan Carlos Amaya.

These included CF03, hosted by Armada, Cream and Smash The House and CF 05 (a.k.a. ‘The Curve’) due to the spherical shape of the tent and the production space. Adlib also supported CF10, the VIP Hospitality area, at the festival.
