NotchLC Adobe plugin update available now

The new NotchLC Adobe plugin for macOS brings native support for Apple Silicon.

As users may know, Apple has been transitioning to their own, ARM-based processor and GPU architecture, which has been a challenge for many software developers, including Notch. This change, along with Adobe’s subsequent decision to stop supporting Intel plugin backward compatibility in their Creative Cloud 2024 update, made using NotchLC on macOS more difficult for many. While several workarounds have been available (like side-loading older versions for Creative Cloud Media Encoder), they were not ideal, which is why Notch have been working on a better solution for the NotchLC user community.

Element 2 and Multiverse Bring Big Upgrades to Tennessee High School

ETC’s ColorSource Spot V fixtures at St. Cecilia Academy

The students of St. Cecilia Academy in Nashville, TN were ecstatic last fall when their technical theater program was ushered into the 21st century with equipment from ETC and City Theatrical. The school replaced all of their theatre’s conventional incandescent lights with ETC’s ColorSource Spot V, Fresnel V, and CYC luminaires. The school’s 30-year-old ETC Inspire console was retired to introduce an Element 2 to the students, and the whole system was linked by City Theatrical’s Wireless DMX Multiverse®. Adam Hall Group Expands Integrated Systems Team with Several Key Positions

The Adam Hall Group is further expanding its Adam Hall Integrated Systems division. Christian Latzelsberger has been appointed as Head of Sales – Adam Hall Integrated Systems. In this capacity he is responsible for shaping the strategic direction and overseeing the sales division of Adam Hall Integrated Systems. Supporting him in the DACH region is Uli Golka, who serves as Technical Support Engineer Integrated Systems. Product management is handled by Senior Product Manager, Gabriel Alonso Calvillo while Jens Werner assumes the role of Junior Product Manager. Hippotizer drives 61m pixels onto giant umbrella at ISE

Visitors to ISE were greeted by the sight of a custom-made 7.5m umbrella in February, where 61,500,000 pixels of animations enlivened every panel using six 10-bit, 4K, 20,000-Lumen projectors which were driven by Hippotizer Boreal+ MK2 Media Servers. The project was realised by UK-based Motion Mapping, who were challenged with creating the concept and delivering the unusual exhibit, which was rigged on the Epson stand.

PROLIGHTS Products Illuminate Swan Park Theatre

Swan Park Theatre, a cornerstone of the arts within the City of Swan, has experienced a transformative upgrade in its lighting setup, with PROLIGHTS lighting solutions provided by Show Technology. Managed by the Calisthenics Society of Western Australia, the theatre serves as a versatile venue for a wide array of events, from dance performances and theatrical productions to conferences and community gatherings. Theatre Consultant Matthew Nankivell, together with system integrator Technical Alliance, led the initiative to upgrade the venue’s lighting, with a focus on integrating LED technology to replace outdated systems.

Ivan Lavezzoli Creates Versatile Looks at Fuori Sanremo With CHAUVET Professional COLORado PXL12 Curve

Capturing the flavor of The Sanremo Music Festival up close was Radio Italia’s very popular “Fuori Sanremo,”  a program that featured all of the artists from the festival with interviews and live performances recorded in a studio specially set up in this beautiful Mediterranean costal city’s Grand Hotel Londra. Lighting designer Ivan Lavezzoli created an elegantly engaging atmosphere for “Fuori Sanremo,” with a setup that featured CHAUVET Professional fixtures imported by Zalight.

Scott Chmielewski Design for Mat Franco Vegas Show Features Elation DARTZ

Scott Chmielewski of DMDS7UDIOS is employing a large rig of DARTZ 360 narrow-beam luminaires from Elation to support the mesmerizing performances of renowned magician Mat Franco at The LINQ Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Chmielewski addressed an initial refresh of the show in 2021 before undertaking a complete redesign of the entire show, stage and theatre in early 2023, collaborating with Director Brian Burke, Art Director Joe Oneill and Mat Franco himself.
