DEX at Stockholm's Mall of Scandinavia

Mall of Scandinavia in Stockholm, Sweden Features 65-Meter-Long LED Sculpture, d3 Control

STOCKHOLM, Sweden – The Mall of Scandinavia near the center of Stockholm features DEX, a ceiling-mounted, 65-meter-long light sculpture made from 3,800 LED strips. Each of the LED strips has 64 individually controllable pixels. London-based video architecture firm BAJT created the volumetric content for DEX using d3’s creative suite, the Notch realtime 3D engine and Autodesk 3ds Max 3D animation software.

Kiss 108 Summer Concert near Boston Uses ECLPS-supplied Elation EPT6IP LED Displays

MANSFIELD, MA For Boston-based radio station Kiss 108’s summer concert, staged June 18 at Xfinity Center, East Coast Lighting & Production Services, Inc. (ECLPS) provided Elation Professional’s EPT6IP LED video panels. The screens gave the crowds a closer look at performances by a lineup that included Halsey, Flo Rida, Charlie Puth, The Chainsmokers, Iggy Azalea and Nelly, and they were also used to feature a variety of custom content. ECLPS supplied all of the lighting and video products for the annual summer event.

BERLIN, Germany – AV Stumpfl’s multimedia and presentation technology was installed to support an elaborate AV feature within Berlin’s shopping center, Das Schloss. The project took two years for design and planning, two months for installation and two weeks just to set up. F1 Gesellschaft für Informationstechnologien und Managementberatung mbH, working in collaboration with VIOSO GmbH, installed 15 AV Stumpfl’s Wings VIOSO software packages for calibration and projection mapping, 15 Wings VIOSO servers for playback of high-resolution content, Wings Touch for simplified operation and Wings Avio Manager for system control and communication between system components.

PERTH, Australia – The APIA Good Times Tour, featuring Daryl Braithwaite, Kate Ceberano, Jon Stevens and John Paul Young, has recently completed its 16-date tour of duty, including a stop in the Perth Concert Hall. With Perth being one of the three ‘orphaned’ shows without toured production, tour lighting designer Rohan Thornton was on the phone to local rental house Concert and Corporate Productions to source a rig for the show to supplement the Concert Halls’ simple house system.

ROCHESTER, NY – D&C Digital, formerly the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle, is using Chauvet Professional’s Ovation E-910FC RGBA-Lime color-mixing fixtures as part of the lighting setup for its video production studio. Jonathan Lipsy, the manager of broadcast & lighting at Integrated Solutions Group, who specified the fixtures, was impressed with how its lime LEDs enhanced its color-rendering capabilities, both in the pre-testing phase of the project and for the fixtures’ actual use.

Haarlem Philharmonie Installs Robe DL4X Moving Lights

HAARLEM, The Netherlands – Marco Hartendorf, technical manager of the Philharmonie concert hall in Haarlem, the Netherlands, and his crew are working with 10 new DL4X Spots from Robe. The moving lights were chosen for their silence and LED light source. Hartendorf and the lighting team of four work across the Philharmonie‘s two main venues – De Kleine Zaal capacity 412 and The Great Hall, with 1220 sets, and also the Stadschouwburg (City Hall) which is about 2 kilometers away, still in the city center.
