MILWAUKEE— Clearwing Productions augmented its rental lighting inventory with 76 new Martin MAC Axiom Hybrids and deployed them, along with other fixtures, in the rigs for many of the stages of the biggest annual music festival in the world, Summerfest. They were used on six of the festival’s 11 permanent stages, playing a prominent role in the lighting for the BMO Harris Pavilion, the Miller Lite Oasis and the Briggs & Stratton Big Backyard stage, among others.

NANCHANG, China – The Wanda Cultural Tourism City complex in Nanchang, China packs a theme park, movie park, aquarium, hotels and retail stores within an area measuring two square kilometers. HSL project managers John Slevin and Jordan Hanson coordinated everything for the Blackburn, U.K.-based rental company and ensured that the production design, created collectively by Tom E with input from Christie Lites’ Robert Roth and Robert Achlimbari from All Access, was supplied with all the lighting, rigging and automation elements it needed. The manufacturing plant, the company’s 14th, opened a day later in the Mexican state of Guanajuato, about 375km northwest of Mexico City.
