LAS VEGAS  – GoVision announced that it has opened a new office and equipment facility in Las Vegas, its fifth such location. The facility enables the company to respond more quickly to client needs in this region. The office will be led by Joe Danczak, who has joined the GoVision team as Account Executive. Joe brings more than 25 years of experience in the hotel, event and audio-visual industry – most recently with Encore Event Technologies and AVT Event Technologies – to his new role.

SANTIAGO, Chile – Architectural lighting designer Toni Amoros used 24 Clay Paky Mythos fixtures to animate South America’s tallest skyscraper, the Costanera Centre, with a festive light show. The building is in the heart of the chilean capital’s financial district and includes a six-floor shopping mall, two luxury hotels and office space. Its highest levels are home to Sky Costanera, the highest observation deck in South America.

Rihanna Concert, Jazz Festival Canceled in Nice, France After Truck Attack on Bastille Day

NICE, France — Rihanna’s tour stop slated for the Allianz Riviera stadium in Nice, France on July 15 was canceled after the deliberate attack by a gunman who also used the truck he was driving as a weapon, killing scores of pedestrians at a beachside fireworks show the night before. At least 84 people were killed in the July 14 attack before the gunman/truck driver, Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel, 31, was shot dead by police. A local jazz festival set to open July 16 also canceled.
