LILLEHAMMER, Norway — The Norwegian Olympic Museum, launched in Feb. 2016 by the Queen of Norway at a prestigious ceremony, features unique video installations, curated exhibits of cultural and historic artefacts and Olympic memorabilia. A unique draw is Lysgaardsbakkene, roughly translated as “Jump Hills,” a large-scale circular raised-platform interactive feature measuring 3.5 meters in diameter. Local systems integrator Bright Norway achieved a true to life interactive presentation using AV Stumpfl Wings Engine Raw uncompressed 4K media servers and Wings VIOSO calibration software to manage and warp native video content across 4 edge-blended projectors.

The Design Oasis Expands Looks at Purple Hatters Ball with Rogue R1 FX-B LED Fixtures

LIVE OAK, FL – A procession of over two dozen bands performed on stage at the 9th annual Purple Hatters Ball in mid-June, but this three-day festival has never really been just about the music. MANCHESTER, UK. – HSL supplied lighting for the musical drama, Parade, staged at the Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester. The production features a lighting design by Aaron J. Dootson. Dootson’s lighting was a crucial element in creating the emotion, raw anxiety and political and moral issues of this incisive piece of theatre by Jason Robert Brown, which dramatizes the 1913 trail of Jewish factory manager Leo Frank for the murder and rape of 13 year old employee, Mary Phagan in Atlanta, Georgia.

WROCLAW, Poland  – Wroclaw, Poland marked its role as one of the European Capitals of Culture for 2016 with the Flow, a series of happenings, performances, dance and musical spectacles celebrating the city and its residents.  The multimedia finale of the Flow depicted the history of Wroclaw in four acts.  It was delivered by 300 artists and 45 water craft on the River Odra and watched by some 50,000 residents and visitors.
