NanoLumens Opens Display Visualization Center in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS – NanoLumens recently opened a Visualization Center in Las Vegas. Located at 5275 S. Arville Street in Suite 328, the facility is the third such center opened by the company; the other two are in Bath, U.K. and the Atlanta, GA area. COLUMBUS, OH — For an effect that creates bursts of fog that appear to be triggered by R. Kelly as he walks on stage during his show supporting his most recent album, The Buffet, Russell Armentrout, president of Performance Lighting, worked with lighting director Tony Trovato on a setup that uses 24 Vesuvio RGBA high-output LED foggers from Chauvet Professional.

ROME – Clay Paky fixtures are helping to light the way as Claudio Baglioni and Gianni Morandi, a.k.a. Capitani Coraggiosi (Captains Courageous) make their way around Italy’s biggest sporting arenas. The ambitious show design, featuring 50 songs from the last 50 years, is modeled in part on the duo’s big performances in Rome last fall. LD Carlo Pastore included Clay Paky Mythos (26), Sharpy (42) and Alpha Spot 700hpe (40) fixtures in the rig supplied by Agorà.

New Human Nature Jukebox Show in Las Vegas Lit with GLP

LAS VEGAS – Australian pop vocal group Human Nature returned to The Venetian in Las Vegas with their new Jukebox production, which smoothly blends retro pop classics with Doo-Wop, Motown and Soul. The aim of the show is to bring some of the greatest vocal hits of all time to the cabaret stage in their own personal jukebox. As with previous Human Nature productions in ‘Sin City’ (such as Motown), GLP lighting is used extensively to add both drama and subtlety to the show.

DORTMUND Germany – More than 350 Robe fixtures rocked the main stage of the 2016 Mayday dance event at the Westfalenhalle in Dortmund, Germany, specified by lighting designer Ronnie Santegoeds from Netherlands based 4Light, who was asked to create a jaw-dropping memorable lightshow by promoters, I-Motion. Ronnie is a regular LD for Dutch hardstyle dance producer / promoter Art of Dance, which whom I-Motion co-promoted the most recent Syndicate event at the same venue. On the strength of his work for that event, he was invited to produce the production lighting design this leading house / trance phenomena.

ETC updated its Unison Mosaic Show Controller X (MSCX) with a smaller version housed in a one-unit, 19-inch rack-mount enclosure. The updated Show Controller X is offered with capacities from 5,120 channels (10 universes) up to 50,000 channels of DMX-over-Ethernet. Neon Desert Music Festival Shines with Elation LED Effects and Platinum Beams

EL PASO — Memorial Day marks the traditional kick-off to summer in the U.S., and music fans in western Texas celebrated the long weekend at the Neon Desert Music Festival in El Paso. They danced to the rhythms of Dutch DJ Tiësto and a variety of other acts, many of whom performed beneath rigs packed with Elation lighting fixtures. The festival ran May 28-29 with acts from the worlds of indie rock, Latin and electronic dance music performing across five stages in downtown El Paso.
