Clay Paky Distributor in Chile Showcases Fixtures Atop Skyscraper in Santiago

SANTIAGO, Chile – Clay Paky’s Chilean distributor, Valook, showcased more than 80 units of the company’s latest fixtures as part of an Open Day event for local rental and production companies, theatres, lighting designers and TV representatives. Organized by Valook – which has been a Clay Paky distributor since 2014 – the event was held on the rooftop of Santiago’s 64-storey Costanera Center Tower. Featured fixtures included Clay Paky’s Mythos, Glow Up, Scenius Spot, Sharpy, Sharpy Wash, B-EYE K10 and K20, Stormy and Stormy CC fixtures.

The new full color model packs 217 highly efficient single RGBW LED emitters into a compact moving head and punches out 60,000 lumens of light. USITT Provides Free Rigging Inspections to 11 School Stages

NEW YORK – Continuing its Rigging Safety Initiative (RSI) program, which USITT launched five years ago, the association recently approved free stage rigging inspections and safety training for 11 more schools, located in Natick, MA; Woodbury, MN; Medford, NJ; Chazy and Fredonia, NY; Elyria, OH; Greendale, WI;  and in Houston and Wayland, TX. Since its launch, USITT has accepted more than 120 schools into the RSI program. The schools get a free rigging inspection and safety training performed by USITT’s partner rigging companies, which charge USITT a reduced rate.
