Brantley Gilbert Tours with Clay Paky Fixtures, grandMA2 Consoles

BOZEMAN, MT – Brantley Gilbert’s current world tour may be called “The Blackout,” but he hasn’t been performing in the dark. Instead, Howard Jones and Nate Alves co-designed his show using an array of Clay Paky fixtures known for their brightness, including 16 brand-new Scenius fixtures, 34 Mythos units and 13 Stormy Strobes. The Blackout tour’s North American leg began Jan. 28, ran through March 4, then resumes April 14-30. The LDs used two grandMA2 Light consoles networked together to control the lighting and video elements.

LD Matt Mills Lights Disturbed’s First Tour in Five Years with Martin, HES Gear

CHICAGO — Hard rock band Disturbed returned to the stage after a lengthy hiatus with a show last August at the House of Blues in Chicago. It heralded the band’s sixth studio album, Immortalized, released the same day. This year, the hard rock band has embarked on its first world tour in five years, hitting 60 cities in the U.S., Canada and Europe and teaming up with co-headliners Rob Zombie and Breaking Benjamin along the way. LD Matt Mills, who worked with the bands’ last tour in 2011, deployed a Christie Lites rig centering on Martin fixtures — MAC Quantum Washes, MAC Viper Profiles and Atomic 3000 LEDs — along with High End Systems ShapeShifters.

Sido VI Tour Rig Included Mythos Fixtures, grandMA2 Consoles and MK2 Video Processing

MANNHEIM, Germany – For Germany artist Sido’s “SIDO VI” tour, Günter Jäckle and Friederike Krauch came up with the stage and lighting design for the tour, using 24 Clay Paky Mythos units, two full-size grandMA2s and one VPU plus MK2 (video processing unit). Photographer Ralph Larmann took these shots at the SAP Arena in Mannheim in late November; the tour ran through the big show in Berlin Dec. 7, 2015.

ORLANDO – Alcorn McBride, Inc. marked its 30th anniversary by celebrating its position as the leading manufacturer of show control, audio and video equipment for the theme park industry. The company got its start by founder and CEO Steve Alcorn in 1986 after his experiences working on behalf of Disney World’s EPCOT helped inspire the launch of the company. Prior to the company’s launch, Alcorn served as vice president of engineering for Linn Electronics, an electronic musical instrument manufacturer. The company is now based in Orlando, FL.

Mojo Barriers Supports Rebel Heart Tour with Madonna

MACAU, China – Mojo Barriers supplied a variety of barrier products for the front of stage and front of house production areas, for the European leg and two Asian tour dates of Madonna’s Rebel Heart World Tour. Rebel Heart Tour is the tenth worldwide tour from Madonna and supports the release of her 13th studio album of the same name. The tour kicked off Sept. 9, 20165 in Montreal, Canada and ran for six months, visiting 22 countries worldwide. Mojo Barriers was contracted to ensure audience and artist safety for all of Madonna’s 25 European tour dates, as well as at her shows in Taipei and Macau, which both took place in February 2016.
