Roland V-1HD HD Video Switcher Now Shipping

Roland noted that its compact and portable V-1HD Video Switcher, which can accommodate up to four HDMI audio/video sources with resolutions up to 1080p and features a host of professional compositing effects and creative video switching capabilities, is now shipping. The Roland V-1HD provides switching for up to four HDMI A/V sources including cameras, computers, tablets, smartphones and Blu-ray players, thanks to its HDCP copy protection support. Its high-definition output can be switched between 720p (from 720p inputs), 1080i or 1080p. In either 1080i or 1080p output mode, the V-1HD can accept both 1080p and 1080i input signals simultaneously, allowing use with a range of sources. It has a 12-channel audio mixer for mixing stereo audio from HDMI and external stereo audio sources and its dedicated microphone input. The V-1HD includes two HDMI program and preview outputs and a stereo audio output.

NEW YORK – Christie once again partnered with Barneys New York to create a the holiday window displays on Madison Avenue in midtown Manhattan. Christie’s digital lighting effects were mapped to a Dale Chihuly glass sculpture entitled “Winter Brilliance” and the choreographed projection of light creates the illusion of ice, snow, and moonlight, adding a fluid and kinetic quality to the sculpture.

GoVision Unveils North America’s Largest Mobile Video Display Trailer

EDMONTON, Alberta, Canada – Apparently things aren’t only bigger in Texas. Some things are bigger in Edmonton, too. Recently, the FC Edmonton soccer club unveiled the largest mobile video display trailer in North America, dubbed TITAN. Mounted on a 53-foot trailer, the state-of-the-art LED screen, supplied by Daktronics (NASDAQ: DAKT), measures 39 feet wide by 22 feet high.
