XL Video Supports alt-J Tour

MORRISON, CO Jeremy Lechterman and Jackson Gallagher from FragmentNine created the video design for alt-J’s tour in support of the band’s second album, This Is All Yours. The band’s North American tour legs, interspersed with performances in Europe, were slated for April, July, Sept. and Oct. 2015. XL Video provided gear suited for use at different venues, included adaptations for a July performance at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre near Denver.

Vasco Rossi Concert in Italy Relies on BroadWeigh Load Monitoring System

BARI, Italy – The Stadio San Nicola, a 58,000-capacity venue used most often for soccer games, recently hosted a Vasco Rossi rock concert organized by Live Nation Italy. Colin Luke, senior project manager at Oswestry, U.K.-based Load Cell Rental, was asked to supply a way of monitoring the stage weights during the build. Luke and Load Cell Rental supplied a 20 cell BroadWeigh system.

The team work to facilitate both events and aid Somerset House’s transformation into an iconic concert setting and then an open air cinema.

Cape Rep Theatre Presents “Evita”

BREWSTER, MA – Lighting designer Herrick Goldman recently designed Evita at the Cape Rep Theatre and turned to Elation Professional’s Platinum Profile 35 Pro moving head light to create the compelling mood lighting. Herrick and his associate Susan Nicholson designed both the lighting and the projections for the critically acclaimed production, which is directed by William Roudebush with scenery by James Dardenne.

Edinburgh Fringe Festival Includes ‘Animotion’ Pairing Live Music, Digital Art

EDINBURGH – The latest AniMotion live painting, digital art and music show is being presented by Aurora Nova at George Herriot’s School as part of the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The power of original painting created in real-time and projected onto architecture accompanied by live music is a collaboration between projection artist Ross Ashton, percussionist Dame Evelyn Glennie and visual artist and painter Maria Rud.
