HAMPSHIRE, UK – This is the 5th year running that Utopium has been called upon to supply its lighting and rigging for the creatively themed BoomTown Fair, known for its imaginatively themed cityscape. Utopium provided festival lighting and rigging to ten stages, including the expanded Lion’s Den stage, The Town Centre, The Old Mines, The Jolly Dodger, Crazy Calamities Saloon and The Hidden Woods, as well as providing lighting for all the woodland areas.

Shinedown’s Summer Tour Wraps with Bandit Lights Shining

NASHVILLE  – American hard-rock band Shinedown recently wrapped their summer tour with lighting provided by Bandit Lites. After celebrating their ninth No. 1 single with “Cut the Cord” off their upcoming studio album Threat to Survival, the band will be back on the road in November with a co-headlining tour with Breaking Benjamin. LD Carter Fulghum used GLP, Robe, Vari-Lite and Clay Paky moving lights.

Bloodstock Festival Visuals Streamlined with Avolites Consoles

DERBYSHIRE, U.K. – Andy Whittaker of HSL credited Avolites’ Titan consoles for keeping the lighting and visual effects flowing at the multi-stage Bloodstock Festival, and a number of visiting LDs chimed in with good things to say about the control setup. All stages featured Avolites desks with Titan at the rock and metal festival, which drew more than 15,000 metal heads to Derbyshire this month.

Nemetschek Vectorworks Giving Students a Chance to Attend Industry Events for Free

COLUMBIA, MD – Nemetschek Vectorworks, Inc. announced a Conference Pass Giveaway program with a chance at free conference passes and hotel stays for U.S. students. The prized are awarded to students on the basis of a 300- to 500-word statement about why they want to attend a specific conference and how they believe it will benefit them professionally. Applicants do not have to currently use a Vectorworks software program in order to be eligible, but they are asked to “Like” Vectorworks on Facebook.
