Moscow’s “Big Love” Valentine’s Day Dance Event Lit with Clay Paky Gear

MOSCOW, Russia – For a Valentine’s Day 3.5-hour dance event that drew more than 17,000 Muscovites to the SC Olympisky, LD Konstantin Gerasimov of 4DProject used an array of Clay Paky fixtures supplied by Arlecchino Techno to deliver an electric party atmosphere. The rig including 92 A.leda B-EYE K20s, 71 Alpha Spot 1500s, 72 Sharpys and 36 Sharpy Washes. Pavel Shchelkanov created video content for the event. All the lighting and video was completely time coded, with the sound and show program by Nikolay Zinovenko.

The Script’s Arena Tour Gets Visual Assist from Avolites Sapphire Touch, Ai S8 Servers

LONDON – Avolites aficionado Jamie Thompson has been out with Irish pop-rockers The Script on their European tour controlling ‘maximum impact’ lighting with his Avolites Sapphire Touch console, plus an Avolites Quartz and x4 Avolites Titan Net Processors. A second Sapphire Touch was used a backup. All front-end Avolites control equipment was supplied by global lighting and show design company MIRRAD.

Clay Paky Sharpys Used on Set of Castrol Oil Ad

LONDON – Matt Button of Button Light used hundreds of Clay Paky Sharpys in his design for the 2014 Castrol EDGE oil ad seen in cinemas and online. It featured four cars racing the lights. The video has more than eight million hits on YouTube. Barney Steel, director of Marshmallow Laser Feast, is credited with the idea for the ad. Button was brought on board to bring Steel’s idea to life.
