FRANKFURT, Germany – Paderborn, Germany-based Lightpower, a lighting rental company founded in 1978, also supports the not-for-profit Lightpower Collection, which centers on the work of American rock photographer Neal Preston. At PL+S 2015, Lightpower backed a special exhibition of Preston’s photos and Lightpower owner Ralph-Jörg Wezorke presented a $50,000 donation for the Behind the Scenes charity. The funds were raised from three Lightpower Collection events within the past year and will be divided between BTS in North America and the U.K. Pictured here, from left, are Preston, BTS’ Lori Rubinstein and Wezorke.

FRANKFURT, Germany — Martin Professional named Jorge Espinoza winner of the Harman subsidiary’s 2015 Annual Young Lighting Designer Contest. Martin flew Espinoza to Germany where he was formally presented the honor during the mid-April Prolight + Sound expo. Martin also awarded prizes for second and third place to Roman Vakulyuk from Russia and Ludovic Milien from France.

FRANKFURT, Germany — For the PRG LEA Awards, held April 14 just before Prolight + Sound, Ray Technologies (RTI) provided a 22+ show laser light system. The elaborate laser setup included units placed all around the large stage, the balcony and in conjunction with strong video projection systems for special mapping effects.

BRISBANE, Australia – Aussieworld’s newest attraction, Professor Boggleworth’s Illusionarium recently opened. It features a holographic room installed by Holo-Walls, LLC.
