GLENDALE, AZ – To accompany performances by Katy Perry, Missy Elliott and Lenny Kravitz at the 2015 Super Bowl Halftime Show, lighting director Jason Rudolph used eight d3 Technologies 4x4pro media servers to map the projection surface on the football field with content from 80 Barco projectors. LONDON – LD Nick Gray of Renegade Design included Clay Paky Sharpys and Sharpy Wash 330 fixtures in the rig for Kasbian’s U.K. arena tour. Bringing power, reliability and vibrant colour to the design Gray uses an array of , which he says these days never fail to feature in his rig. The tour recently visited major venues including Manchester Arena, Belfast Odyssey Arena and London’s O2 Brixton Academy. Neg Earth supplied the gear.

GLENDALE, AZ – NBC aired Super Bowl XLIX to a record viewing audience, and held a big Super Bowl party of its own – just across the street from the University of Phoenix Stadium. Angel City Designs planned the event, lavishly lit by James Schipper of Kinetic Lighting. Schipper used LED fixtures from Chauvet Professional to light the NBC pre-game party tent.

The visuals accompanied music provided by Christophe Goutes. Event agency Tetro to oversaw the artistic direction, and Magnum provided the lighting gear.

BRISTOL, U.K. – Bristol based lighting, visuals and rigging specialist Fineline supplied lighting and rigging to support the world premiere of Walking The Chains, a circus/theatre production staged in the Passenger Shed at Bristol Temple Meads rail station. The production marks 150 years since the completion of the Clifton Bridge, a historic suspension bridge credited to U.K. civil and mechanical engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

PHOENIX – Creative BackStage recently added Absen A6t 6.25mm LED video screen to its inventory of gear. The screens were first deployed at the annual Alice Cooper Christmas Pudding concert in December 2014, pictured here. Since then, the new 6mm LED screen product has been used at Circle K New Year’s Eve Block Party in Tempe, AZ, pictured below. They include the Eurolite KLS, where two derby effects, four strobes and two slim spots share an LED bar with a laser; the FE-1500 Hybrid Laser Flower, with 8 strobe LEDs and a laser; and the LED Laser Bar, with a red/green laser effect included in the center of the bar along with 190 color-changing LEDs. All three effects can be controlled by DMX.
