ATLANTA — Hip hop duo OutKast hit the road this year for the first time in a decade. The 20th anniversary featured three nights of hometown performances Sept. 26-28 at Centennial Olympic Park here. LD/programmer Daunté Kenner of DK Production Design shaped the looks and Atlanta Sound and Lighting provided the gear, which included Elation’s new Platinum SBX moving head fixtures.

LAS VEGAS — The Cyndi Lauper/Harvey Fierstein staged musical collaboration, Kinky Boots, a hit in Chicago in 2012 before its successful 2013 Broadway debut, kicked off its first national tour at the Smith Center here on Sept. 4, 2014 with a PRG-supplied lighting rig specified by LD Kenneth Posner. The tour rig includes 18 COLORado 2-Quad Zoom Tour fixtures from Chauvet Professional. PRG also provided gear for Kinky Boots’ pre-Broadway and Broadway engagements.
