Axxis Uses Elation Gear to Light Up Louisville with 40 Nights of Lights

LOUISVILLE, KY — The annual “Light Up Louisville” event staged here from Thanksgiving to New Year’s returned once again in late 2013 with a visual year-end bonus — the “40 Nights of Lights” display that featured light projection and a nightly light show set to music. Chris Burgin of Axxis handling lighting design and programming, with a programming assist from Elizabeth Squire.

Dry Hire Lighting Stocks Up on Robe Gear

HIGH WYCOMBE, U.K. — Dry Hire Lighting, based here, added more Robe fixtures to its rental inventory, pushing the company’s cross-rental inventory of moving lights toward the 1,000 mark. The latest order included a mix of Robe Robin Pointes, LEDWash 600s and LEDBeam 100s. Peter Pan Arena Tour Included Clay Paky Gear

LONDON — Geert Alaert’s £10million video-mapped arena spectacular, Peter Pan, The Never Ending Story, used a lighting design from Belgium-based LD Luc Peumans that included Clay Paky’s Alpha Profile 1500s. Peumans describes the challenge of lighting the projection-dominated show as one of “lighting light.”

ESCONDIDO, CA — Jeff Ravitz of Intensity Advisors served as LD for author Dr. Wayne Dyer’s recent PBS pledge drive special, I Can See Clearly Now. The show premiered nationwide on PBS on March 4 and will continue to air throughout March. It was the author’s 10th program for public television and was taped before a live audience at the California Center For the Arts here.
