ESA Launches Individual Gold Donor Membership Program

LOS ANGELES – The Event Safety Alliance (ESA) has announced the creation of its Individual Gold Donor Membership program. Participating donors receive one free digital or printed copy of the Event Safety Guide and get included in the ESA’s online professional database. They also gain access to tools and content on the ESA website, get discounts on ESA programs and events and get one “I Support the ESA” T-shirt.

LD Manuel da Costa Specifies Robe Gear for The Voice of Germany

BERLIN, Germany – Robe moving lights were once again specified by LD Manuel da Costa for the most recent series of the TV singing contest, The Voice of Germany (VOG). The series was recorded at Studio Berlin and produced jointly by a Dutch German collaboration between Taipa and Schwartzkopff TV. It was broadcast on Pro7 and Sat 1 channels. A total of 188 Robes were supplied by Magic Lighting & Sound from Cologne.

Two Rigging Safety Standards Published for Review

NEW YORK – Two standards related to theatrical rigging safety have been revised and approved by ANSI as American National Standards. ANSI E1.21 for temporary outdoor structures and ANSI E1.4 for manual counterweight rigging systems and are now published and available for free download.

I-X Center Contracts with Nanolumens for 22 Indoor LED Displays

CLEVELAND — Cleveland’s International Exposition Center, also known as the I-X Center, has contracted with NanoLumens to provide NanoWrap and fixed NanoSlim indoor LED signage. Karen Robinson, NanoLumens executive vice president of business development, made the announcement. The installation of the 22 indoor LED displays, ranging from a 30’ x 17’ flat screen to 8’ x 8’ wrap screens, is set to be complete by April 1, 2014.
