Solotech Announces Shareholder Shift

MONTREAL — Francois Menard, president and shareholder of Solotech, recently announced shifts among its shareholders. Denis Lefrancois, co-president and one of the main architects of Solotech from its beginnings in 1977, has departed, along with a major Quebec-based institutional investor. In their place are three new strategic financial partners for the company: Claridge, Capital Regional et Cooperatif Desjardins and Investissement Quebec.

NORTHRIDGE, CA — Harman Professional named Jonas Stenvinkel head of Martin Professional Asia Pacific. Stenvinkel, who previously served as sales director of EMEA North, will work from Harman’s base in Singapore. He will lead Martin’s sales and service staff in the Singapore and Asia region and report to Thomas Marcher, director of sales at the Harman Professional Regional Sales Office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Kanye West Tour, Disrupted by Truck Accident, Resumes

PHILADELPHIA — Kanye West’s elaborate, multi-truck Yeezus tour, launched Oct. 19, was disrupted by a highway accident involving a truck carrying custom truss made by SGPS/ShowRig for the production’s 60-foot-diameter LED screen. The truck had been en route to a Halloween show in Vancouver, BC.

Pete’s Big TVs Enhances Twitter IPO for NYSE

NEW YORK CITY – Video equipment rental company Pete’s Big TVs went to Wall Street to help Twitter open the New York Stock Exchange and launch its IPO offering on Nov. 7, 2013. Says Pete’s Big TVs VP Guy Benjamin, “We were contacted by production manager Michael Ahern with a week’s notice to supply LED video display of Twitter’s logo and Twitter feed for their big IPO launch day, when they began publicly trading on the stock market.”
