KOSICE, Slovak Republic – The Gothic Cathedral of St. Elizabeth in Košice, Slovak Republic, became the glowing centerpiece of the city’s Opening Ceremony celebrations for its year as European Capital of Culture in a lighting design featuring Robe and Anolis LED fixtures. The City Council was receiving around 300 calls a day after the end of the OC event asking why St. Elizabeth’s was no longer lit – a response so overwhelming that discussions have started about a potential permanent lighting installation for the cathedral.

MALMÖ, Sweden – Eurovision Song Contest organizers have planned an advance “behind the scenes” show in Malmö May 7-8 to present the event to the industry and the international press. The “backstage tour” will focus on the technology to be used during the contest, along with some workshops where the various technical partners will present the solutions they have provided for the event.
