SGM Illuminates Christ Light

SANTA CATARINA, Brazil – The statue of Jesus Christ overlooks the city of Balneário Camboriú, with one arm outstretched, welcoming visitors from near and far, and the other carrying a symbol of the sun. The statue’s recent lighting installation uses just six SGM P-5 LED wash lights to shines a different color each night to symbolize peace, love, health, faith, happiness, nature and energy.

Teslacoop Creates Virtual 3D Forest with wysiwyg

TURIN, Italy – Visual design company Teslacoop has created a life-size virtual 3D forest using wysiwyg R30. The live simulation, originally conceived for a show by a prominent fashion label, was designed to be held within a circular theatre in Milan. Although it was a 3D forest, Luca Baraldo, president of Teslacoop, says it could have been anything involving scenery: a town, a desert, an aquarium, for instance. “The main thing is that we can put the audience inside a virtual 3D scene.”

ETC’s Eos Titanium (Ti) control desk [pronounced “tee-EYE”] is the latest in the company’s Eos family of lighting control systems. Incorporating hardware adapted from the company’s Gio console, including multitouch displays, backlit keys and an anodized finish, Ti takes the place of ETC’s flagship Eos desk at the head of the company’s product line. Ti also features a larger multitouch encoder display and dedicated pan and tilt encoders along with four pageable encoders, which promise to make designing and programming even easier. ETC has also introduced two new accessories: the RPU3 (Eos Remote Processor Unit 3) and Net3 RVI3 (Remote Video Interface 3), along with new Eos v2.0 software.
