ETC Selador Desire LEDs on ‘The Judas Kiss’

LONDON – Lighting designer Rick Fisher chose ETC‘s Selador Desire LED fixtures to help light the recent production of David Hare’s The Judas Kiss at the Duke of York’s Theatre in London. “For the kind of work I’m doing – a subtle piece with the lighting concentrating on moods, emotional states, and times of day – I wanted lighting which doesn’t draw attention to itself,” says Fisher. “The Desire fixtures give a very nice, natural looking light, which was a pleasant surprise and a real advance.”

Cosmic Truss F34 Baby Tower

LOS ANGELES – The Cosmic Truss F34 Baby Tower allows for an unobtrusive ground support system to be used. Its compact form makes it suitable for applications where locations are difficult to access and where application with normal ground support is too big and heavy. Instead of being conceived as a truss tower, Baby Tower is essentially a tube — designed to support a grid made of 12-inch box truss. The legs are in sections and can be set to a maximum height of 23 feet (7 meters) while retaining a strong aesthetic.

Barco Projectors Video Map at Sundance Film Festival

PARK CITY, UT – Sundance Film Festival organizers commissioned Klip Collective to create the 3-D projection mapping display for the venue’s exterior during their recent event. Klip Creative Director Ricardo Rivera envisioned a “man vs. machine” Steampunk-styled vignette entitled and inspired by the Tom Waits song “What’s He Building in There.” To fulfill the technical demands of the concept, Sundance Film Festival used Barco’s HDX-W18 large-venue projectors to present the show.
