XL Video Names Lucas Covers CEO

BRUSSELS – XL Video has appointed Lucas Covers, former CEO of De Boer Structures and Philips Home Networks, as its new CEO. Covers has served as a senior executive at Philips where he held several international positions. These included the management of the digital video business, Philips Home Networks, located in Paris. In 2008 he became CEO of De Boer Structures, an international supplier of temporary and semi-permanent structures.

Projection Mapping Turns Ottawa’s Parliament Hill into Virtual Storybook

OTTAWA, Canada — A large-format projection planned to run from July 10-Sept. 7, 2013 will mark the fourth consecutive year that Christie 3-chip DLP projectors will be used for a sound and light show that tells the story of Canada’s history by lighting up Parliament Hill. The show, Mosaika – Canada Through the Eyes of Its People, has been seen by more than 250,000 visitors annually.

LAS VEGAS – The 11th annual meeting of the Global Rental Alliance (GRA) was held here recently at The Rental Show 2013. Topics addressed included technological industry trends, safety and regulatory matters, and the GRA International Rental Business Leadership Program. The agenda also included a review of the global survey initiative undertaken by the GRA, with release of a combined rental revenue figure among the GRA associations representing $66 billion.
