Miss Albania Pageant Looks to Clay Paky, ASLV

Republic of ALBANIA – The Miss Albania 2012 pageant has taken place every year since 1998 in Albanian historic sites and castles. The lighting design must then take into account the nationwide TV coverage, the talent and the towering sites and castles as part of the scenic elements. Italian director of photography Franco Ferrari chose Clay Paky fixtures including the Sharpys to handle his challenges of the annual pageant. ASLV supplied the lighting and video equipment.

Onstage Systems Creates Choctaw Casino Christmas Light Show

DURANT, OK – Dallas-based Onstage Systems designed and produced a synchronized Christmas light show for the Choctaw Casino Resort in Durant, OK. The outdoor system was designed for the resort’s Oasis area, which includes a winding walking path with more than 140 trees, an amphitheater, three outdoor pools and several gardens – now under a holiday glow. The 15-minute show runs nightly every hour and half hour 5:30-10 pm through Jan. 6, 2013.

LONDON – The first of Robe’s new Robin DLF LED Wash lights went on tour in the UK with LD Rob Sinclair and The Human League. The rig also contained other Robe fixtures which illuminated and projected on to a scenic back wall above and behind the band, constructed from 10 Airformance Design ‘Waben Blocks.’ HSL supplied the lighting.

LOS ANGELES – The new Mega TRI 60 from American DJ is a linear LED color-mixing bar powered by 9 Tri-Color (red, green, blue) 3-watt LEDs.  Measuring a full 2 feet (.6 meter), the fixture is designed to cover walls, stages, dance floors and other large indoor areas with washes of RGB color. The fixture  has six control modes, both manual and DMX. It also offers 32-built in macros for easy color-mixing. The Mega TRI 60 weighs 7 lbs.

MADISON, WI – Full Compass Systems has produced a holiday CD titled “A Winter’s Wish” to help raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Wisconsin. Staff members volunteered many hours of planning, arranging, rehearsing, performing, recording and editing the tracks on the CD, and also created the cover artwork and CD design.
