MOONACHIE, NJ – Lamp manufacturer Bulbrite has expanded its Nostalgic Collection with a variety of new and exclusive designs including the new miniNostalgic Collection. The Nostalgic Collection is available in 10 distinct shapes including globe, tubular, signature (Edison-style), and classic light bulbs, in a variety of sizes, and four unique filament designs which include Hairpin, Thread, Spiral and Loop. The miniNostalgic lamps feature an E12 base, lamp life ranging from 2000-3000 hours and a warm, amber glow. All miniature nostalgic lamps are offered in 25-watt sizes.

Foster the People Tours with Chauvet

NEW YORK — Foster the People LD Zach Matusow used nearly 40 Chauvet Professional fixtures to accompany the band on its recent tour. Lighting the set  – designed by Trevor Stirlin Burk – was a lighting challenge, said Matusow. The curved, 60-ft backdrop included inflatable characters combined with paper airplanes, marching bands, bubbles, confetti and an LED wall built inside a scenic sun.

Clay Paky Makes Heavy Contribution to Light Relief

LONDON – Clay Paky’s President/CEO Pasquale Quadri presented the lighting industry charity Light Relief with a £ 5,000 ($7,991) donation. The charity supports those with financial aid in the industry who experience hard times. Pio Nahum, chief commercial officer for Clay Paky, says, “Without the lighting designers who use our equipment so imaginatively and who willingly feedback to our R&D, Clay Paky could not be so successful. It’s important to us that we acknowledge our appreciation and offer our support to those individuals who need it. Light Relief is the perfect way for us to do this.”

Blizzard Fab5 Series LED Fixtures

Blizzard Lighting’s Fab5 Series LED fixtures will incorporate 15W, 5-in-1 RGBAW LEDs with internal color mixing achieved with red, green, blue, amber and white nodes. The first two fixtures, due out in November, are the Puck Fab5, pictured left, and ToughPAR Fab5, below right. The Puck Fab5, a new variation of the Puck series flat LED par can, will feature seven of the new 15W 5-in-1 LEDs.

RED Lighting Pixel Par and Pixel Square

RED Lighting’s Pixel Par and Pixel Square LED fixtures feature COB (Chip on Board) technology, where the sources are mounted on a flat circuit board at an imperceptible distance from each other for a homogenized effect. Output is considerable — up to 100W per chip — with a minimal luminous flux decadence and a lower heat production. The Pixel Par LED works with just a single 100W three-in-one RGB tri-COB LED and consumes 120W power. It is 215mm by 215mm by 240mm in size and weighs 2.5kgs. The Pixel Square has 16 30W RGB tri-COB LEDs, with 560W power consumption. It is 345mm by 165mm by 380mm in size and weighs 5.2 kgs. Both feature 60 degree beam angles and power-in specs of AC 110V-240V and 50Hz/60Hz.

Robe Lights Studio 54 Sportpaleis Disco Inferno

ANTWERP, Belgium – About 12,000 disco divas stepped out to the 2012 Studio 54 Sportpaleis event in Antwerp, Belgium to strut their best dancefloor moves and grooves to the sounds of the 1970s. The event featured Robe moving lights along with other gear supplied by Total Event Support. LD Peter Vervloesem designed the event; the centerpiece of the arena design was a massive chandelier in the roof made up from 400 x 40 cm mirror balls flown above the stage.
