Electrosonic Promotes Sarah Joyce to VP EMEA

LONDON – Electrosonic has promoted Sarah Joyce to Vice President for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). She was previously employed as General Manager Human Resources, EMEA. Her promotion follows Ilari Anttila’s decision to return to his homeland in Finland. Joyce has 16 years of experience within the AV industry together with her five years at Electrosonic Ltd in sales, HR and account management. Anttila will stay with the company until the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition.

DALLAS – The Festival of Independent Theatres (FIT) is a four-week festival comprised of small theatre companies producing new or avant-garde works. In its 14th season, the FIT is showcasing the work of eight local theatre companies as well as showcasing the capabilities of the new Selecon PLCyc LED Luminaire from Philips Strand Lighting. LOS ANGELES – Motley Crue and KISS teamed for a North American summer tour and took grandMA2 along to program and control lighting and video on 44 shows coast to coast.  Motley Crue’s programmer/operator Michael Cooper is using 18 Universes, two Art-Net lines for the Catalyst Media Server, and SMPTE time code. KISS programmer/operator Sean Hackett migrated to grandMA2 for the tour after using the flagship grandMA console for the last eight years.

Prism Projection recently expanded its RevEAL line of products with the RevEAL Studio.UV Fresnel. The RevEAL Studio.UV Fresnel is designed for special effects applications with black light paints or where you need an ultraviolet source. It features a high output ultraviolet emission of 12,000 mW at 365nm light output along with the same variable beam and precise barn door cuts of the rest of the Studio Fresnel range. The LED-powered Studio.UV Fresnel offers an output comparable to 400W discharge lamps while drawing only 80W of power. It can also be dimmed without requiring mechanical dowsers.
