Nortek “Core Brands” To Be Led by Pollock, Keller, Marshall and Starkey

PROVIDENCE, RI — Nortek, Inc.’s newly-formed Core Brands group, including the Aton, BlueBOLT, Elan, Furman, Niles, Panamax, Proficient, SpeakerCraft, Sunfire and Xantech brands, will be led by Bill Pollock, who has served as president of Panamax. Dave Keller, vice president of sales and marketing for Panamax/Furman, will handle worldwide sales. Keith Marshall, president of SpeakerCraft/Proficient, will be in charge of channel management, and Paul Starkey, president of Elan, will lead marketing for all brands.

Morpheus Helps Kick Off ‘Wrecking Ball’ Tour in North America

BOSTON – Morpheus Lights helped Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band kick off its “Wrecking Ball” North American Stadium Tour at Boston’s Fenway Park on Aug. 14. Morpheus Lights is the lighting contractor, supplying the lighting system designed by Jeff Ravitz of Intensity Advisors. Lighting Director Todd Ricci and Crew Chief Brad Brown lead Morpheus’ nine-man technical crew. The tour plays stadiums through the end of September, and then heads back indoors for arena performances to the year’s end.

BROOMFIELD, CO – Pastor Richie Furay, a past member of Poco and Buffalo Springfield, has made music a big part of the church’s ministry at Calvary Chapel. Until recently, the sanctuary stage lighting was not at all reflective of the meaningful messages and music. The decision was made to install 12 Cygnus 100 Watt LED Color Wash luminaires, replacing the outdated incandescent system.  The Cygnus fixtures were hung to light the stage and pulpit from above and as side lighting.

This year’s US event featured lighting design by Paul Efron of Seeing Eye Lighting Design and lighting equipment from 4Wall Las Vegas. The opener presented a lighting challenge, featuring BMX stunt bike rider Danny Macaskill seen on video, followed by five live BMX riders entering from various locations around the room.
