Clay Paky Alpha Spot QWO 800s Join Peter Gabriel’s Tour
LOS ANGELES – LD Rob Sinclair is using Clay Paky Alpha Spot QWO 800 fixtures in his design for Peter Gabriel’s “Back to Front” tour. Part of the performance includes Gabriel’s full rendition of his classic 1986 album, “So.” Gabriel wanted to bring back some of the design elements from the tour that launched “So.” Sinclair says, “We brought the technique up to date by having five manually-operated camera booms with three Alpha Spot QWO 800 fixtures on each of them. They pretty much carry the show: The show is about those booms and the lights on them.”

Robe Lights Tupperware Jubilee Event in Sun City
SUN CITY, South Africa – Rental company Multi-Media supplied full production including their newest Robe moving lights for Tupperware South Africa’s 2012 Jubilee event, staged over three days at Sun City Superbowl. LD Gustav Stander had to cater to many different performance and presentation scenarios, including entertainment sections with dancers, conference sessions, incentive presentations, motivational speeches and awards.

NASHVILLE- 4Wall Entertainment opened its Nashville location Oct. 8. The 62,000 square-foot facility encompasses office and warehouse space on Production Row, home to SoundCheck Nashville and other entertainment production facilities. General manager Cathie Berbena Lloyd previously served in the same capacity at PRG Nashville, and she is joined by operations manager Ricky Lighthall. Many staffers were also members of TLS, Inc. prior to the company’s asset sale to 4Wall.

Vista Spyders Support ‘Made in America’ Festival
PHILADELPHIA – There were Spyders in the house at Budweiser’s Made In America Festival in Philadelphia on Labor Day weekend with 100,000 or so people turning out to hear Jay-Z and Pearl Jam. Austin, TX-based J3 Productions LLC selected Vista Spyders to pixel map LED content and handle live background media on the main stage during the two-day concert series.

AMSTERDAM – Martin Professional’s new MAC III AirFX mid-air effects and wash luminaire debuted on the premier of a new Sensation electronic dance music event at Amsterdam Arena this past summer.
